The Busunju Sustainability Farm

The Busunju Sustainability Farm is a vital initiative of Passion Christian Ministries, established to promote food security and self-reliance among the communities we serve. Located in Uganda, the farm plays a key role in supporting the needs of mothers, children, students, and staff connected to the ministry.

The farm was created to address the growing need for sustainable food sources within our programs, including the Care Medical Centre, Healing Hope Malnutrition Clinic, and Passion Christian High School. By growing our own food, we have significantly reduced the cost of feeding those in our care while ensuring they have access to nutritious meals.

Impact of the Clinic

The Busunju Sustainability Farm has transformed how the ministry provides for its beneficiaries. It ensures a steady supply of nutritious food, reduces operational costs, and equips individuals with skills for self-reliance. The farm has also become a model for sustainable agriculture, inspiring nearby communities to adopt similar practices.

What We Do

  • Food Production

    • The farm produces a variety of crops, including maize, beans, vegetables, and fruits, which are used to feed mothers at the clinic, children in the malnutrition program, and students at the school.

  • Agricultural Training

    • The farm provides hands-on training in modern farming techniques for students and community members. These skills help them grow their own food and improve their livelihoods.

  • Income Generation

    • Surplus produce from the farm is sold in local markets, with proceeds reinvested into the ministry’s programs to enhance their sustainability.

  • Environmental Conservation

    • The farm practices environmentally friendly agriculture, such as crop rotation and organic farming, to protect the land and promote long-term productivity.
